The Bliss Hoi An Hotel - a peaceful get-away resort

After our round trip through the north of Vietnam it is now time to relax and unwind. Please refer to my previous 4 Blog posts for more information on the various stops of our tour.

The Bliss Hoi An Hotel is a newly opened beach resort located to the south of Hoi An and about 30 minutes drive away from the Old Townwww.blisshoian.com

The hotel is designed in a contemporary Indochina architecture and is spread over a vast garden area.

You can choose between various room types – from regular deluxe rooms in the main hotel building, over family suites to the real nice Beachfront Bungalows, where we were staying. If you like to experience the utmost luxury then you choose the 2-Bedroom Villa, where you can splash around in your private pool.

The Beachfront Bungalows are all nestled around the huge outdoor pool with amazing views onto the tropical garden and the sea in front. The wooden bungalows are designed in a very airy and sophisticated style and offer the perfect blend of luxury and a back-to-the -earth feeling.

The best feature of the bungalow is the outdoor-shower – I loved it!

The indoor bathroom and sleeping room are spacious and offer comfort and ease.

The garden pool has an infinity view onto the sea and is huge enough so that every guest can enjoy a peaceful swim around.

The beach area in front of the hotel is equipped with sunbeds and umbrellas and enjoys a daily clean-up by buffalo 😊

The beach guard takes his job very seriously, maybe a bit too ambitious for my taste – as with the slightest sign of wind and waves he will race his red flag and guests cannot even get into the shallow water anymore. He will blow his whistle and command you back.

The hotel beach itself is very clean, however if you take a beach walk a bit away from the hotel the picture is a different one. You can find a very wild and unfortunately also a very dirty beach with tons of plastic and waste around. It is really a shame as the beach would be endless kilometres of white sand.

Nevertheless, a visit to the close by fishing huts is worth the walk. Especially during morning hours when the fishermen bring back their catch, many of them in the traditional bamboo basket boats. The women on shore will receive and prepare the fish either for immediate sale or for drying.

Further the hotel features a state-of-the-art gym, regular yoga and Thai Chi classes plus an heavenly Spa, where you can choose from a great variety of treatments all conducted by very professional therapists.

For your culinary journey a restaurant is located in the main reception building. The breakfast buffet is huge and offers a great variety of national and international items plus a live kitchen. A-la carte lunch and dinner is served here as well plus you can enjoy on some specific days theme nights like for example a Beach BBQ night.

If on one day you like to have it active, the hotel reception can book you on various excursions or you can take one of the hotel bicycles for a small local tour around. The hotel also offers a free shuttle bus to Hoi An center.

So that´s it with Vietnam. Goodbye beautiful country until the next time!
